Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority invites graduates to join the Mechanical Department in Abingdon as part of the Graduate Development Programme. You’ll contribute to the design and development of robotic and remote handling systems, while gaining experience across the full engineering lifecycle from requirements capture to manufacture and operation.

You’ll work with world-leading experts and develop technical, professional, and leadership skills through hands-on experiences, mentoring and structured

Qualifications

Degree in Science or Engineering (2025–2027).
Strong aptitude to learn and take on new challenges.
Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Support design and development of robotic and remote handling systems.
Gain experience across the full engineering lifecycle from requirements to operation.
Apply engineering analysis to improve system performance and reliability.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions and documentation.
Develop technical, project management and leadership skills through mentoring and development opportunities.
