Qualifications

  • Expected or achieved 2:1 or above in an IMechE or CIBSE-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Previous work experience or a placement within a similar industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Overview

Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £25,000 plus

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to live projects from day one
  • Producing detailed technical designs and engineering drawings
  • Using industry-standard modelling software, including CAD and Revit
  • Carrying out site surveys and inspections
  • Researching and exploring cutting-edge technologies
  • Taking part in continuous professional development and structured learning opportunities
  • Designing and developing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and control systems, above- and below-ground drainage, as well as hot and cold-water systems
Qualifications
  • An expected or achieved 2:1 (or above) in a IMechE or CIBSE-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree (or a similar qualification)
  • A relevant master’s degree or other postgraduate qualification (desirable)
  • Previous work experience or a placement within a similar industry (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of CAD or other 3D modelling software (beneficial)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • A motivated, confident, and adaptable approach with a willingness to learn and grow
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
