Job summary

STEM Recruitment in Bedfordshire is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for our client in Bedfordshire. The role focuses on the design of bespoke machinery and involves 3D CAD using Solid Edge.

You will work on rotating machinery, drive systems, linear motion, automation and guarding, developing new machine concepts with a real emphasis on precision and innovation. A 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics is required.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics from a top university
• Experience with 3D CAD, preferably with Solid Edge skills
• Candidates with experience designing special purpose machines, jigs fixtures and or mechanisms would be an advantage
• Full driving license

Responsibilities

• Work on design skills including rotating machinery, drive systems, linear motion, automation and guarding.
• Design and develop new machine concepts using Solid Edge in 3D.
• Contribute to creating and optimizing 3D machine designs.

This graduate opportunity involves a wide range of design skills including rotating machinery, drive systems, linear motion, automation and guarding. There is a considerable amount of new content and you will design and develop new machine concepts. All design is in 3D using Solid Edge.
