As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to undertake a design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by our clients.

Having been awarded at least a 2:1 (Upper Second–Class Honours) in a Mechanical Engineering degree accredited by the IMechE, you will be seeking to gain Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.

Ensuring agreed work–hour and cost targets are adhered to through effective project and financial control.

Preparing project plans and programmes to ensure work is carried out in accordance with company requirements, to meet and ensure client satisfaction.

Providing appropriate engineering designs in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards. Ensuring good engineering practices are maintained.

Preparing contract documentation for procurement of services and materials.

Evaluating tenders and providing recommendations for contract award.

Managing contracts and authorising invoices within allocated financial authority for payment.

Maintaining good client relationships to help secure continuing business.

Preparing estimates and technical input for proposals to prospective clients.

You will be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will also have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a team.
