MEP Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer / Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

This role is to join a highly successful, award–winning firm of consulting engineers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering, you ll be part of a team designing the mechanical elements that bring buildings to life.

They work on some of the largest and highest profile construction projects in the industry with leading architects, designers and contractors and have an excellent reputation for delivery, quality and reliability of their services.

You'll feel like a trusted member of the team from day and will receive ongoing support and training to develop your skills and career as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • To work alongside experienced mechanical design engineers assisting with the preparation of outline design schemes
  • Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress
  • Ensuring services conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
  • Production of drawings under the direction of Engineers
  • Assisting with the checking of documents and carrying out detailed calculations
  • Undertaking duties as indicated by senior engineers to obtain experience and training in Mechanical Engineering
  • Understand and assist with the process of Building Physics calculations.
  • To work with a focus on low carbon design.

Qualifications

  • MEng / BEng in Mechanical Engineering is essential
  • A desire to develop a career within building services design
  • High quality oral and written communications (reports, instructions etc)
  • Proficient in various software s or the ability to learn software fast. e.g., cad, Revit.
  • A driving licence is essential.
