Job summary

A leading technical consultancy in the UK is looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer. This position requires a minimum 1st / 2.1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong 3D CAD skills, and the opportunity to work on exciting projects within Defence, Medical, Industrial, and Aerospace sectors. Applicants must be UK residents or EU citizens residing in the UK for over 5 years.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a 1st / 2.1 Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills using SolidWorks and/or Creo.
  • Hands-on experience in a workshop or assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools like FEA or CFD.

  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components.
  • Support prototype development.

Overview

A Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of a 1st / 2.1 Bachelors / Masters Degree gained from a leading University, proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks and/or Creo), exposure to electronics and some knowledge of FEA / CFD will join an exciting Technical Consultancy where you ll have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across Defence, Medical, Industrial and Aerospace applications.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 1st / 2.1 Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline gained from a leading UK University.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills using SolidWorks and / or Creo.
  • Hands–on experience within a workshop or assembly environment ideally with some electronics exposure.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as FEA or CFD.
  • Some basic programming or scripting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer facing skills and a good team player.
  • Willingness to work on Defence projects.
