Job Description:

Mechanical Design Engineer required for a manufacturer based in Bridport. The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or similar. Candidates may be recent graduates or have relevant experience.

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview

• Create and modify CAD drawings using IMOS software
• Assist with planning and scheduling of production activities
• Ensure all designs meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements
• Liaise with production staff to ensure smooth workflow from design to completion
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of design and production changes
• Support general administrative tasks related to production and design

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements

• Experience with CAD software is essential; IMOS experience is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required

Salary & Benefits

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Starting from £30,000 per annum (for candidates with no experience)
• Up to £40,000 per annum for candidates with relevant experience and skills; competitive salary based on experience
• Supportive team environment
