We now have an exciting opportunity for a graduate mechanical building services design engineer to join our growing practice. Engineering Systems Design Ltd (ESD Ltd) was established in 2009 to bring together experienced engineers in building services engineering. The practice is currently engaged in a wide range of building services engineering projects worldwide, including commercial, research and development, residential, retail, and utilities. ESD Ltd offers services in pre-development utility studies, energy studies, expert reports, and construction management with a focus on creating environmentally-friendly building solutions.

You will:

• Have responsibility for all aspects of assigned project work, primarily focusing on commercial, public sector, and hospitality projects.
• Support the senior leadership team in project planning and resource management
• Support the design team on technical aspects of the projects
• Work and liaise with related engineering disciplines as part of delivering technical support
• Produce detailed engineering designs using DesignBuilder, Designmaster, AutoCAD, and Revit software, meeting all relevant standards, including energy efficiency and low or net zero carbon requirements.

You should ideally have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience across multiple sectors
• Projects including new build, refurbishment, and retrofit, with values from small projects to £100m+ major projects
• Capability to work with a team of engineers on large projects and manage multiple smaller projects while managing clients

An ideal candidate will:

• Be BEng or MEng degree qualified
• Have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience working in design consultancy
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Be confident both with clients and internally, supporting peers and colleagues
• Be flexible to adapt to changing project and market conditions
