We now have an exciting opportunity for a graduate mechanical building services design engineer to join our growing practice. Engineering Systems Design Ltd (ESD Ltd) was established in 2009 to bring together experienced engineers in building services engineering. The practice is currently engaged in a wide range of building services engineering projects worldwide, including commercial, research and development, residential, retail, and utilities. ESD Ltd offers services in pre-development utility studies, energy studies, expert reports, and construction management with a focus on creating environmentally-friendly building solutions.

You will:

• Have responsibility for all aspects of assigned project work, primarily focusing on commercial, public sector, and hospitality projects.
• Support the senior leadership team in project planning and resource management.
• Support the design team on technical aspects of the projects, working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines to deliver technical support.
• Produce detailed engineering designs using Designbuilder, Designmaster, AutoCAD, and Revit software, ensuring compliance with standards including energy efficiency and low or net zero carbon requirements.

You will ideally have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience across multiple sectors, including projects for new build, refurbishment, and retrofit, with project values from small projects to £100m+ major projects.
• Capability to work with a team of engineers on large projects and manage multiple smaller projects while handling client relationships.
• A BEng or MEng degree qualification.
• Enthusiasm for all aspects of the role and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Confidence to interact with clients and internally project a professional image, supporting peers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project and market conditions.
