Graduate Mechanical Engineer - Special Purpose Machinery

Are you a recent engineering graduate eager to launch your career in mechanical design? Our client, a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery, is looking for a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting chance for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the design and development of innovative machinery. You'll be involved in the full project life cycle — from initial concept through to customer acceptance trials — working alongside experienced engineers and seeing the real-world impact of your work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the design and development of rotating machinery, drive systems, linear motion systems, automation, and safety guarding
2. Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using Solid Edge CAD software
3. Contribute to the development of new machine concepts and custom solutions
4. Collaborate with suppliers and the in-house production team
5. Take ownership of smaller projects under the guidance of senior engineers
6. Provide technical support and application guidance to customers, helping them get the most from the equipment

About You

• Recently completed a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline), achieving a 2:1 or above
• Strong ability to apply engineering principles and concepts
• Passionate about mechanical design and problem-solving
• Eager to learn and take on technical challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive, flexible, and committed to delivering quality work
