Job summary
Harris Academy Bermondsey is seeking a Graduate Maths Tutor to support students with targeted 1:1 and small-group maths tuition in a vibrant, all-girls academy in London. You will work closely with experienced maths teachers to develop students' mathematical knowledge, confidence and exam skills, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
This fixed-term contract runs to July 2027, offering pro-rata salary based on 37.5 hours/week across 38 weeks/year.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications that help demonstrate evidence at A Level and undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics.

Responsibilities
- Delivering programmes of study to small groups of students in 1:1 setting.
- Liaising with parents regarding attendance, progress and attitude of designated students.
- Maintaining records of students' progress in relation to examination targets.
- Completing relevant marking and providing feedback.
- Highlighting individual students' learning needs to the teacher and agreeing support.
- Assisting the teacher in evaluating identified students' progress through assessments.
- Supporting students to engage with learning objectives.
- Planning with teachers the role in the lesson and preparing resources.
