The Opportunity

Are you a recent Maths graduate looking to start your career in education? We are working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Bournemouth, who are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only role is perfect for an aspiring teacher looking to gain classroom experience before undertaking teacher training in 2026 or beyond. You will work closely with experienced Maths teachers to support pupils across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop their confidence and skills in Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support Maths teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small group academic support to pupils of varying ability levels
• Assist with the preparation of learning resources and activities
• Support behaviour management and pupil engagement
• Help pupils build confidence and improve their understanding of key mathematical concepts
• Get involved with extracurricular Maths clubs and enrichment activities
