Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment in Birmingham, West Midlands, is seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer. This hands-on role features a structured 12-month development programme covering EDM, precision manufacturing, tooling design, inspection and continuous improvement, with a dedicated mentor.

The successful candidate will work on complex components to tight tolerances, learn to read engineering drawings, support machine setups, and gain practical experience with aerospace-grade materials,

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Interest in manufacturing, machining and practical engineering.
• Willingness to spend time in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete structured training in EDM processes (wire EDM, spark erosion).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Support machine setups, datum setting and first-off inspections.
• Assist tooling design to improve repeatability and efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
