The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production teams, to ensure that manufacturing systems are effective and meet the company's production goals.

Job Accountability

1. Process Design and Improvement:

o Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes.

o Design and implement process flow and layout strategies to optimize production efficiency.

o Analyze production workflows and identify areas for improvement.

2. Production Support:

o Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

o Collaborate with production personnel to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.

o Ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

3. Equipment and Tooling:

o Specify, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment.

o Maintain and improve existing equipment to enhance productivity.

o Design and procure tooling and fixtures required for manufacturing processes.

4. Cost Reduction:

o Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

o Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

o Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize material usage.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

o Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.

o Document changes to manufacturing processes and ensure all modifications are updated in relevant systems.

6. Project Management:

o Lead and manage projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes or introducing new products.

o Develop project timelines, resource plans, and budgets.

o Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

7. Continuous Improvement:

o Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

o Stay updated with the latest manufacturing technologies and industry trends.

o Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes or equipment.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

· Experience: Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a similar role.

· Skills:

o Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

o Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.

o Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

o Strong project management and organizational skills.

o Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

o Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
