Fortress Recruit is proud to partner with a global leader in marine propulsion solutions to hire a Logistics Coordinator for their UK site.

This is a pivotal role within the UK operations team, ensuring the timely, efficient, and cost-effective dispatch and receipt of finished goods, spare parts, and purchased components.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating all outbound shipments across EMEA, using the most cost-effective freight options.
  • Processing customer orders daily via M3 ERP and ProDoc systems.
  • Managing logistics documentation including commercial invoices, certificates of conformity, and other compliance documents.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Handling inbound deliveries, booking in stock, and supporting warehouse functions including picking and packing.
  • Monitoring and managing customs duties, tariff codes, and reclaim opportunities for exports outside the EU.
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT and duty requirements to avoid fines or delays.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse coordination (ideally in engineering or manufacturing)
  • An understanding of customs documentation and international shipping processes
  • ERP system knowledge (M3 or similar) and proficiency with shipping software
  • A proactive, detail-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Forklift license (desirable or willingness to be trained)

This role would suit a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in logistics, marine studies, supply chain, or a related discipline, and a keen interest in the movement of goods, global shipping, and international operations.

This is a full-time, permanent role based on-site in West Sussex. You’ll receive a competitive salary DoE plus full training, with future development opportunities.
