Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant - Moderate Learning Needs - Woking

School Overview:

This school is renowned as one of the best SEN schools in Surrey, providing a safe learning environment for children with complex learning, social, and communication difficulties, including physical disabilities. They offer therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech and language therapies, integrated into the children's Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). The school features excellent facilities, including a therapy pool, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology, with on-site training and support to help staff progress to senior roles.

Children's Needs:

The children have diverse needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Physical Disabilities. Some children may be non-verbal or require personal care assistance.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing support to children before, during, and after lessons.
  • Assisting children in understanding and participating in tasks appropriately.
  • Encouraging the development of social skills.
  • Maintaining individual student records.
  • Supporting confidence and motivation.
  • Participating in team meetings and training programs.
  • Supporting the organisation's culture and adhering to safeguarding regulations.
  • Supporting individual needs, including medical and personal care tasks (training provided).
Job Details:
  • £89 to £105 daily rate (9 am - 3:30 pm, 5-day week)
  • Temporary to permanent contracts
  • Ideal for psychology graduates
  • Full-time and part-time roles with flexible hours
  • Contract duration: 1 year
  • Location: Woking
