Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Graduate Learning Support Assistant for a large 11-16 secondary school in the Middlesbrough area, to work on a full-time, long-term basis, for the new academic year.

This role involves supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, delivering catch-up and intervention sessions, and working with teachers to promote inclusion and raise attainment. Starting pay is determined by qualifications and assignment requirements.

Qualifications

• Recent university degree 2:2 classification or above.
• Good Numeracy and Literacy skills.
• Clear desire to work with children and young people.
• Previous experience working with children and young people would be beneficial, but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake relevant CPD training as required by Milk Education and your placement school.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis to ensure they are succeeding both academically and pastorally, responding to their individual needs.
• Working alongside class teachers and other school staff, providing essential additional support.
• Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students, improving the whole school learning journey.
• Delivering catch-up and intervention sessions.
