An Outstanding-rated secondary school in Coventry is offering an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only role is ideal for graduates looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before pursuing teacher training or a career in educational support. As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with students across various subjects, providing tailored academic and pastoral support while collaborating with experienced teachers and support staff.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of learning needs
  • Assist in adapting classroom content and activities for individual learners
  • Help plan and deliver academic interventions across the curriculum
  • Support positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and share insights with teaching staff
  • Work closely with students with SEND or additional educational needs

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a driven and empathetic graduate who meets the following criteria:

  • A minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (particularly English, Psychology, Science, Maths, or Humanities)
  • Strong academic background and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work) – desirable
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced school setting
