Veritas Education in Huddersfield is seeking Graduates to join SEN schools and alternative provisions as Learning Support Assistants. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs across primary to post-16, helping them access an inclusive curriculum.

Ideal candidates hold degrees in Education, Psychology, or related fields and are patient, adaptable and committed to safeguarding. DBS check is mandatory and training is offered.

• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development using appropriate behaviour management strategies.
• Support pupils who may experience emotional distress or behavioural challenges, following school policies and guidance.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and personal development throughout the school day.

The Role

We are working with a range of specialist SEN schools and mainstream provisions looking for enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support Assistants to join their teams. These opportunities are ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable hands‑on experience in education, psychology, child development or additional learning needs, with opportunities for long‑term progression and permanent employment.

You could be supporting pupils across Primary, Secondary and Post-16 settings, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Eager to learn, develop new skills and undertake relevant training.
• Interested in building a long-term career in education, teaching, educational psychology, pastoral support or special educational needs.
