Graduate Learning Mentor – SEN Support

Location: Bristol

Salary: £90- £95 per day

Hours: Full time, part time, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)

Contract: Long-term, term-time only

A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Bristol is seeking a caring and motivated Graduate Learning Mentor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support primary and secondary-age pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including:

* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* ADHD
* Global Developmental Delay
* Learning disabilities
* Down syndrome
* Communication and sensory processing difficulties
* Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

As a Graduate Learning Mentor, your role will be to provide tailored academic and emotional support, working both 1:1 and in small groups. Many of the students require help understanding and managing their emotions, building positive relationships, and developing communication and independence. You’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive.

The school places strong emphasis on life skills and creative learning, so you’ll also be involved in practical activities such as art, music, drama, cooking, outdoor learning, and community engagement.

This is an ideal role for a graduate hoping to pursue a career in psychology, counselling, SEN teaching, or youth work. You will gain invaluable real-world experience supporting vulnerable students, some of whom receive support from Educational Psychologists, Therapists, and Social Workers.

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Long-term (minimum until end of academic year)
