Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) invites applications for a Graduate Knowledge Engineer on the Data Solutions track at Culham, Oxfordshire. The role feeds into the graduate development programme, blending professional growth with hands-on fusion data work.

You will help develop AI-enabled data and knowledge management solutions, collaborate with scientists and engineers, and deliver outputs through thoughtful documentation and stakeholder engagement within an innovative team.

Qualifications

Degree in Physics, Engineering, Maths, Computer Science, or similar.
Interest in data, information and knowledge management.
Strong desire to learn and take on new challenges.
Able to collaborate and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
Well organised and adaptable with ability to plan workload.

Responsibilities

Contribute to AI-enabled data and knowledge management solutions for fusion research; structure, improve and share information using modern software and data technologies.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers and stakeholders to develop high-quality software and data solutions, apply best practices, research emerging technologies, and support adoption of new tools.
Deliver technical outputs through effective task management, documentation and presentations, while building technical, professional and stakeholder engagement skills.
