Job summary

RK Accountancy are recruiting on behalf of a well established finance/insurance company just off the M65 motorway junction for a Graduate Junior Underwriter role.

The successful candidate will receive full training and there is a clear career progression path. While ideally you will have at least 1 year in insurance or financial services, strong maths ability is most important. Hybrid working options are available after probation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Efficiently deal with all deal changes and coordinate with brokers, vendors and customers.
• Review and sign off credit conditions within your mandate or escalate as appropriate.
• Work with Credit Support to prepare and present proposals for credit assessment.
• Provide administrative support to the Credit Automation initiative.
• Direct support for other teams when required.
• Collaborate with the Lead Underwriter to foster an inclusive team environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 1 years experience in insurance, financial services or asset finance/ factoring, but this is not essential. A strong academic record in maths is more important.You will be given full training for this role & there is a clear career progression path offered by the client.

• Efficiently deal with all the deal changes we receive, and work with multiple teams within the company to be able to give a response to the broker, vendor & direct customers.
• Review and sign off credit conditions within your mandate or escalat[e] as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with the Credit Support team to prepare and present proposals for credit assessment.
• Provide administrative support to the Credit Automation initiative.
• Direct support for other teams when required.
• Work closely with the Lead Underwriter to deliver an inclusive and positive team environment.

Please note, you will be involved in processing & completing complex admin tasks, but training and support will be given.

An understanding of the financial services sector and money laundering regulations would be very helpful for this opportunity.
