Job Advert: Graduate/Junior Engineer - Civil Engineering

Location: Colchester, Essex

Position: Full-time, Permanent


Are you a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to launch your career in civil engineering? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate/Junior Engineer to join our client's team in Colchester.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the design, analysis, and execution of civil engineering projects
  2. Support senior engineers in the development of project specifications, reports, and documentation
  3. Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and coordination
  4. Perform site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met
  5. Prepare and review technical drawings, plans, and calculations
  6. Collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  7. Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices

Key Requirements:
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field)
  2. Strong communication and teamwork skills
  3. A keen interest in developing technical knowledge and practical skills in civil engineering
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software (desirable)
  5. A proactive, solution-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
  6. Full UK driving license
