Job Description:

Are you a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate looking to start your career in the Mental Health Sector? Do you want to support the mental health of vulnerable and at-risk young people?

A well-respected specialist school near Farnham is seeking an Intervention and Pastoral Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students, aged 10 to 16, face challenges such as trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioral issues. The role requires a dedicated, empathetic, and resilient individual who can build strong relationships and serve as a positive role model.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with SEN children or adults, or hold degrees in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling. This role is perfect for graduates aiming to kick-start careers in Psychology, Mental Health, or Education, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact.

Additional Information:
  • Start date: September 2024 / ASAP
  • Salary: £80-£85 per day, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, PAYE, term time only
  • Training and support: On-site training, CPD, safeguarding procedures
  • Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK; no Visa sponsorship
