Job description

JRRL are currently supporting a client in Bromley recruit a recent graduate who is eager to build a long-term career in the insurance sector.

The Graduate Account Handler will work with the Commercial department to provide broking and technical support.

Full training provided - a fantastic first step into the industry.

Duties for the Graduate Account Handler:

  • Negotiate terms on behalf of customers with underwriters.
  • Handle process and assist with commercial claims.
  • Comply at all times with the requirements of the firm's own procedures, the Financial Services Act 2012 and FCA Regulations.
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
  • Handle policy renewals, adjustments and new business quotations.

Person Specification for the Graduate Account Handler:

  • Ability to maintain professional competence at all times.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to make professional presentations for existing and potential customers.
  • Excellent keyboard skills including Microsoft Suite, email and internet.
  • Rounded knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Sound understanding of the placement and operation of liability and property insurance.

Salary: £22,000 - £26,000pa

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am till 5.30pm

This is a fully office-based position
