The Ultra PCS Engineering function manages a portfolio of specialist capabilities, applying electronic, mechanical, and software technologies in demanding environments to meet customer needs. We are looking to develop a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join our In-Service Engineering Team, which supports aerospace products and provides technical support for high integrity, mission-critical systems, including electronic control systems, lighting, instrumentation, and systems for military and civil aerospace applications.
The Graduate Electronics Engineer will work on Safety Critical Electronics, Data, Power & Energy Control, Stores Ejection, Cryogenic Cooling products, and more. You will gain knowledge in PCB design, component performance, and device selection, working collaboratively across disciplines and managing obsolescence. You will also learn about product development, lifecycle, risk management, and customer and supplier engagement.
You will develop an understanding of aerospace product development practices, hardware and software design standards (ISO9001, AS9100, DO254, DO178), EMC, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and manufacturing/testing processes for aerospace, land, and ground test equipment.
We offer a structured graduate development program with opportunities for professional registration and Chartered Engineer status, working in modern offices in Cheltenham or Cambridge with support from experienced engineers.
