Job summary

Escape Recruitment is supporting an established organisation in Scotland to recruit a Graduate Health, Safety & Environmental Officer. The role offers hands-on experience across operational sites and progression under an experienced SHE Manager.

You'll assist with risk assessments, incident reporting and maintaining HSE management systems, while developing practical knowledge of safety legislation and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Environmental Management or related HSE discipline.
• Good understanding of risk assessment, safety legislation and HSE principles.

Responsibilities

• Support workplace risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Assist with accident, incident and near-miss reporting.
• Help maintain health, safety and environmental management systems.
• Support internal audits, inspections and compliance checks.
• Monitor safety actions and follow up on outstanding tasks.
• Assist with SHE performance reports and KPI tracking.
• Work with operations teams to improve safety awareness.
• Support environmental compliance and improvement initiatives.
