Job summary
Dalcour Maclaren is hiring a Graduate GIS Specialist to join our geomatics team in the UK. You will create maps and plans for land ownership, access and utility routing, using ESRI ArcGIS and UK data sources.
You will initially shadow senior staff and progressively work more independently on varied projects. The role requires a GIS degree or related discipline, familiarity with Land Registry and Ordnance Survey datasets, and a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to sites.
Qualifications
- Have a degree or masters in GIS or a closely related subject with a large GIS component.
- Familiarity with Land Registry, Ordnance Survey and other UK datasets.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations.
Responsibilities
- Under guidance, produce maps and plans for clients on fast paced projects.
- Obtain, manage and analyse data from sources such as Land Registry and Ordnance Survey.
- Utilise technology to update online mapping systems and mobile apps.
- Shadow initially and gradually work more independently on projects.
- Develop knowledge through company training and on the job.
