Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in designing and managing a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within RSK
  • Assisting with the oversight of ground investigations
  • Completing groundwater and gas monitoring
  • Soil and occasional rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
  • Assisting with geotechnical analysis and design

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BEng or BSc or equivalent in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science or similar
  • Typically a further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent would be desirable
  • Registered with a suitable professional body (e.g. Geol Soc/CIWEM/ICE)
  • A basic understanding of geology, ground investigation works, engineering geology and geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering
  • Holding a UK drivers license is critical
