Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a Leeds-based consultancy on a variety of residential projects across the UK. You will learn to develop ground models and design structures such as retaining walls, foundations, piles, and reinforced soil slopes while supporting the wider team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (geotechnical focus) or MSc preferred.
• Full and clean UK Driving Licence.
• Commutable to York and surrounding area.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Experience in Geotechnical Engineering and understanding of soil mechanics; experience with AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile and WALLAP is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop ground models and design structures including retaining walls, foundations, piles and reinforced soil slopes.
• Conduct ground movement assessments and support the wider team.
