Job summary

Spectrum Geosurvey, based in the UK, is seeking a Graduate Geophysicist to help acquire geophysical data in the field and support processing and interpretation in offices. The role offers exposure to offshore renewable energy projects and a pathway to develop industry-relevant skills within a growing team in Lymington.

Applicants should hold a degree in Geology or Geophysics, with GIS experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Geology, Geophysics or related marine/earth science.
• Strong problem-solving and data-handling abilities.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience with GIS and spatial data is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake fieldwork for extended periods on onshore and offshore projects.
• Assist with data processing of geophysical datasets including side scan sonar, magnetometer and sub-bottom profiler data.
• Create and manage data archives and support data quality control.
• Produce reports and contribute to project documentation.
• Adhere to company QHSE standards.
