SLR Consulting is seeking a highly motivated Geologist to join our Mining Advisory team in the UK. This early‑career role offers the chance to develop technical and consulting skills while supporting clients across mining and minerals sectors.

Based in a UK office with hybrid working, the role involves fieldwork, data management, and collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver geological modelling, resource evaluation, and proactive advisory projects.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Geology and Earth Science training.
• Graduate level membership of a relevant professional body (or eligible).
• Experience of drilling fieldwork, core logging and sampling desirable.
• Familiarity with CAD, GIS and geological modelling software.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to write concise reports.

Responsibilities

• Undertake geological site work, such as core logging, sampling and mapping.
• Assist with the design and supervision of mineral resource drilling programmes.
• Generate and manage geological databases.
• Review, interpret and report geological data.
• Carry out geological modelling and help prepare technical reports.
• Assist with the preparation of proposals and contribute to business development within the company.
