Application Deadline: Recruitment is ongoing. Please apply as soon as possible, as the advert may close once we have sufficient applicants.

Your role:

We are looking for a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer for our Water team in our Warrington or Manchester office, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme.

As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment.

The Opportunity

You will join a friendly team, contributing to high-quality projects and applying your skills to real-world challenges. This team provides geo-environmental and geotechnical expertise, collaborating on water company projects, infrastructure development, and community initiatives. Working within multidisciplinary teams, we contribute from initial design stages through construction.

Your daily responsibilities will involve part of the ground assessment team evaluating contaminants in soils and groundwater and their associated environmental impact, and conducting ground investigations. This will culminate in delivering client reports and recommendations for diverse projects within the water industry.

At Stantec, we offer a supportive environment to further your personal and professional development through our graduate programme and comprehensive training opportunities. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading technical experts throughout the UK and contribute to exciting projects while developing your career.

About you

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum degree in earth sciences, environmental, or engineering, with a keen interest in working in the water sector, you will be:

  • A collaborator: You’ll love to work effectively with different people at various levels, all contributing towards a shared goal.
  • An adapter: Able to remain calm in new situations, comfortably switching between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks.
  • A planner: Organizing and managing your own activities, dealing effectively with multiple priorities with a structured approach.
  • A striver: Exhibiting ownership, consistently delivering on tasks and objectives. You’ll be motivated and proactive in your tasks, with a desire to make a real difference.
  • A multi-tasker: Thinking about more than one task at a time, while still having an eye for detail.
  • A problem-solver: You’ll love to give your thoughts based on what you see, being unafraid to challenge conventional thinking.

Please note: We ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week to ensure sufficient support and team interaction.

What we can offer you:
  • A competitive salary
  • Private medical insurance
  • A range of benefits, including holiday buy and sell, group income protection, and life assurance
  • Permanent employment contract, demonstrating our commitment to your long-term career at Stantec
  • Professional progression plan, supporting you to gain professional chartership
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment, including our Early Careers peer group and wider ERG network (see more on our ERGs here: Stantec Employee Resource Groups)

Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitations.

For questions, please review our Graduate FAQs. We look forward to receiving your application!
