Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer in St Albans to start a career in geotechnical engineering within a well-established environmental consultancy. The role offers hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, with mentoring and structured training.

You will build technical and professional skills while contributing to Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations, logging, sampling, and laboratory coordination.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, organized and enthusiastic approach to work.
• Willingness to travel for site work across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments and Desk Studies.
• Support Phase 2 intrusive ground investigations.
• Log soils and rocks, sample collection, groundwater/gas monitoring.
• Coordinate environmental and geotechnical laboratory testing.
• Interpret site investigation data and assist with risk assessments.
• Support remediation strategies and earthworks assessments.
• Prepare factual and interpretative technical reports and maintain health and safety.
