Job summary

JP Engineering in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, invites applications for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to recent geology, environmental science, geotechnical or civil engineering graduates.

You will gain hands-on experience across ground investigations, contaminated land assessments, environmental studies and geotechnical tasks on UK projects, with on-site work, client liaison and report writing.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Genuine interest in contaminated land, ground investigation or geo-environmental engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and drive.

Responsibilities

• Support ground investigations and site investigations.
• Carry out site visits, trial pitting, borehole logging and soil sampling.
• Undertake Phase 1 desk studies and environmental assessments.
• Support contaminated land investigations and risk assessments.
• Interpret ground investigation and laboratory data.
• Assist with ground gas and groundwater monitoring.
• Prepare technical reports and factual reporting.
• Support remediation projects and validation works.
• Work with clients, contractors, laboratories and other consultants.
• Develop understanding of UK ground and environmental regulations.

• Supporting ground investigations and site investigations
