Job Description:

Omnia Consulting is seeking a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our friendly team in the South. The candidate will assist with site investigations across the country and must possess a full UK driving license. Some experience is beneficial but not required; a relevant degree is necessary.

  • Good teamwork skills and the ability to foster good working relationships
  • Strong communication skills and networking ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organization, time management, and planning skills
  • Numerical skills
  • IT skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel

  • Basic understanding of UK Geology

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work across operational geographical areas in both office and field settings

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Phase 1 Desk Study Reports
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Conducting site investigation works (when competent and confident), including:

– Window Sampling

– Gas Monitoring

– Water Sampling

– Soil Sampling

  • Project management and scheduling of samples for analysis
  • Preparing Remediation Method Statements (Phase 3 Reports)
  • Conducting validation sampling and reporting (Phase 4 Reports)
  • Opportunity to prepare cost proposals for review by senior staff
