Job Description:

Omnia Consulting are looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our friendly team in the South. The individual will be helping our team with site investigations across the country are therefore will need a full UK driving license. Some experience would be beneficial but not required, and we are looking for someone with a relevant degree.

  • Good teamwork skills and the ability to foster good working relationships
  • Communication skills and networking ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisation, time management and planning skills
  • Numerical skills
  • IT skills including competency with word and excel

Key attributes include:

  • Basic understanding of UK Geology
  • Enthusiasm for the industry and a desire to learn and grow
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work across the company operational geographical areas as required in both the office and in the field

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Phase 1 Desk Study Reports
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Site investigation works (when competent and confident) including:

– Window Sampling

– Gas Monitoring

– Water Sampling

– Soil sampling

  • Project management and scheduling of samples for analysis
  • Remediation Method Statements (Phase 3 Reports)
  • Validation sampling and reporting (Phase 4 Reports)
  • Opportunity to prepare cost proposals for review by senior staff.
