Graduate General Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools in Tameside

About the Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate General Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Tameside. As a Cover Supervisor, you will help maintain the continuity of education when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities include supervising students during lessons, ensuring they stay on task, and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Ensure students follow the work set by the teacher and manage the classroom effectively
  • Support students with their learning and promote a positive atmosphere
  • Report issues or concerns to relevant staff
  • Encourage positive behavior and resolve conflicts or disruptions
  • Maintain records of work and student progress when required

  • A recent graduate with a degree in any subject
  • A passion for working with young people and helping them reach their potential
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
