Job summary

Lovey in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Full Stack Engineer to join our growing fintech tech team. This role suits a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to gain hands-on experience across backend and frontend development in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll primarily work on backend tasks while also contributing to frontend features, helping us scale and modernise our platform, including future re-platforming and product development.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python (academic or commercial).
• Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React/Next.js preferred).
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend development principles.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL or MongoDB similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on day-to-day development tasks across backend and frontend systems.
• Build and maintain APIs using Python and FastAPI.

Requirements

Essential

• Exposure to full stack development concepts
