Role: Graduate Flood Risk Consultant
Location: Aberdeen

My client, an innovative UK-based Engineering Consultancy specializing in Civil, Structural, and Infrastructure Engineering, is seeking a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join their established team of Engineers in Aberdeen.

Essential Qualifications: A strong academic background in a relevant discipline, including a BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology, Hydroinformatics, or Environmental Management, with a dissertation focused on Hydrology, SuDS Design, or Flood Risk Assessments.

Preferred Experience: Residing locally and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy or Local Authority on Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling, or Drainage projects.

Candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate to Aberdeen, as in-office presence is required for training.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Work on varied Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Development Projects.
  • Conduct Hydrological Assessments, Flood Risk Assessments, Hydraulic Modelling, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Designs using Microdrainage.
  • Support in completing Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3.
  • Perform Hydrological Assessments and develop Surface Water Management Plans.
  • Design Drainage Strategies and detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.
  • Engage in Drainage Area Planning and Civil Engineering design for developments.
  • Utilize Hydraulic Modelling techniques.
