Job summary

AECOM in London is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to shape the fire safety performance of buildings from the early design stages. You will work with architects, structural engineers, and other specialists to influence fire strategy and overall building performance.

You will apply advanced methods, including CFD and smoke modelling, to inform safe, efficient and innovative design solutions, while receiving mentorship and opportunities for professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in Fire Engineering is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Motivation and enthusiasm for a Fire Engineering career.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams and fire strategy reports under senior guidance.
• Support data collection and analysis to inform project decisions.
• Use engineering software and digital tools to solve basic technical problems.
• Present technical work clearly with project team support.
• Deliver tasks in line with budgets, deadlines and quality standards.
