Job Description:

As a Graduate Fire Consultant (FRA), you will develop your skills to deliver high-quality Fire Risk Assessments External Wall Surveys (FRAEWs) for our clients.

Applicants should have a related Degree in Building Surveying or Fire Engineering. We will provide practical tuition, shadowing, technical guidance, and funded CPD to help you become confident and competent in this role.

You will support the Principal and specialist teams, produce accurate reports using Word templates and our SaaS platform, and follow the PAS9980 framework. Our clients are mainly in the Housing sector, with ongoing contracts and a dedicated support team for scheduling, quality assurance, and fire administration.

• Develop the competence to deliver projects with high technical standards.
• Manage your work proactively to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Assist in creating reports, survey methodologies, and project management tasks.
• Support sustainable growth, compliance, client retention, and development.
• Participate in Fire Division CPD events and maintain your technical knowledge.

What does it take?

You should possess:

• A Degree in Building Surveying or Fire Engineering.
• Strong communication, planning, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, report writing skills, and negotiation abilities.
• Understanding of relevant fire legislation and passive fire protection systems.
• Knowledge of Building Pathology and Construction types.
• Awareness of the Building Safety Act 2022, PAS9980, and current fire legislation.

Working arrangements

Flexible remote working from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
