Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Graduate Finance Trainee to join the finance department in management accounts, on-site with hybrid options discussed at interview stage. The trainee will be supported to achieve either a CIMA or ACCA qualification, with financial support, study leave and a mentor within the department.

The post offers broad experience and a path to a substantive NHS Trust post on completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance or a related subject.
• Experience in finance or healthcare is desirable.
• Analytical and numerical abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance & Business Manager with an expert management accounting service.
• Post monthly accruals and prepayments and maintain supporting documentation.
• Produce budget statements in line with the department's monthly timetable.
• Access data from multiple sources to generate variance analyses for budget holders.
• Respond to queries from budget holders and assist in business planning.
• Assist in the monthly forecast of income and expenditure.
