Application Requirements

• Minimum 2:1 University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, with a desire to work as a Data Professional within a Finance team.
• Knowledge of Excel, SQL, and PowerBI. (Knowledge of Snowflake is advantageous).
• Awareness of Data Modelling.
• Right to work in the UK from the start date.
• Commuting distance to Bridgend and a desire to remain in the area long-term. Must be able to be on site at least three days a week. Relocation support is available for those not within commuting distance.

About The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global, blue-chip specialist insurance firm with a rapidly growing team in Bridgend, South Wales. We are seeking two Data Engineers to work in their Finance Data & Reporting (FD&R) Product Team. The successful candidates should have a background in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and a desire to build a career as a Data professional.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engaging with Finance stakeholders, gathering requirements, and creating user stories
• Building and optimizing Power BI reports based on stakeholder needs
• Querying and transforming data from SQL Server and Snowflake
• Transforming data using PowerQuery
• Modeling data into STAR schemas
