Job description

Marks Sattin are partnering with a leading organisation based in Leeds for the role of Graduate Finance Analyst.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent Mathematics graduate with a passion for numbers and a strong grasp of financial modelling to launch their career in a commercially focused finance role.

As a Graduate Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the wider finance team with data-driven insights, financial modelling, and performance analysis.

For this role, our client will pay up to £26,000, offer study support (CIMA/ACCA), and hybrid working!

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
2. Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
3. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports
4. Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams
5. Support investment appraisals and business case development
6. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting and modelling activities

Essential:

• A 2:1 or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a numerically focused degree
• Strong understanding of financial modelling principles
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex data clearly

Desirable:

• Experience with tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or VBA
• Previous internship or placement in a finance or data role
• Interest in pursuing a professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA)
