Job Title Graduate Fashion Buyer

Location Carlisle, CA3 8SY

Hours 37.5 hours a week- Monday- Friday

Salary £22,308.00 per annum (Competitive)

Our client, a national leader in the fashion retail sector are looking for a Graduate Fashion Buyer to join their team based at the Carlisle Office. As a Graduate Buyer, your primary function is to support the buyer in the daily operational functions within your department. You will also learn to develop key cross functional relationships with internal departments, external suppliers and our overseas sourcing offices.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking to forge a career in either buying or fashion merchandising within a head office environment. As well as being part of an exciting and dynamic buying team you will also have the opportunity to gain an industry recognised qualification within your first 18 months

Job responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the buyer covering all issues/queries.
  • Work with the Buyer and production department to manage the critical path (including supporting approvals)
  • Assist with Monday Trade meeting preparation.
  • Sample management general sample organization including working with our suppliers and overseas offices to track samples for seasonal area meetings, web photography, organizing for meetings and sign offs.
  • Additional ad-hoc tasks
  • Responsible for sending out courier packages
  • Carrying out comparative shopping to develop and maintain knowledge of the current marketplace.
  • Develop strong working relationships with, and understanding of, internal departments such as merchandising, technical, design and marketing as well as building relationships across the wider structure.

Ideal Candidate

  • Be educated to degree level in a fashion related degree
