Are you ready to dive into an exciting new opportunity? Aqua Consultants is seeking a Graduate Estimator to join our Estimating & Cost Intelligence Team. If you're ready to ride the wave of success and have a passion for projects and precision, this is the role for you!

The role will be based in Aqua Consultants' Offices, supporting the Estimating & Cost Intelligence Team in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects

What you'll be doing:

  • Estimating at various levels depending on the project stage, high-level using cost models or similar, bottom-up estimating using CESMM(Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement) or similar.
  • Support pricing for water projects that improve public health and sustainability
  • Preparation of estimates for optioneering purposes, providing CAPEX OPEX (Capital Expenditures, Operating Expenditures,) NPV (Net Present Value) for options for comparison
  • Interpret mechanical designs and specs to estimate costs for equipment for example pumps, valves, and treatment systems
  • Undertake project benchmarking and development of Cost Envelope(the budget limit) for a project in the early stages of a project
  • Provide Cost Assurance exercise on project estimates and contractor submissions.
  • Collecting historical project cost data in a standardised approach for analysis
  • Supporting the development of cost models for future estimates.
  • Attend meetings and undertake site visits where necessary
  • Work closely with mechanical designers, planners, and delivery teams to understand project scope, sequencing and constructability.
  • Client facing and confident in participation meetings.
  • Working across multiple projects for their clients.
  • Ability to work with various estimating systems.
