Job summary

Nottingham City Council is inviting applications for a graduate role in Environmental Health within the Environmental Health and Safer Places team. The role focuses on investigating noise complaints, assessing development proposals, and advising planners.

The successful candidate will be an Environmental Health graduate (or final-year student) with knowledge of EP legislation, good IT skills, and strong communication, aiming to progress to an Environmental Health Officer post.

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Health or be in the final year
• Knowledge of EP related legislation and its application
• Good IT skills and ability to manage a diverse workload effectively
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Investigate domestic and commercial noise complaints
• Assess new development proposals for EP related issues
• Provide advice to planners
• Lead on a small number of permitted premises
• Undertake a range of other EP investigations
