Your new company

This company is a leading provider of infrastructure services, construction, and property development. They are committed to delivering sustainable solutions vital to communities across the UK. With a strong track record of major infrastructure projects, they are a well-recognised and reputable organisation that offers excellent experience and a great start for your career in the environmental industry!

Your new role

You will support the environmental manager and the wider team in a 6-month part-time contract. The role offers flexible working arrangements, around 20 hours a week, either as a full-time schedule over 3 days or part-time over 5 days.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Helping to improve environmental standards within the organisation and raising awareness of best practices among various groups.
  2. Providing input on environmental compliance, including assessments.
  3. Conducting site visits.
  4. Identifying opportunities to enhance sustainability practices.
  5. Supporting other environmental initiatives such as waste management and decarbonisation.
  6. Attending team meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

  1. A degree in an environmental field.
  2. Ability to drive and willingness to travel to sites as needed.
  3. Basic environmental knowledge; detailed sector-specific expertise is not expected at this stage.
