Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated Unqualified SEN Primary Teacher to lead a small KS1/KS2 class in a SEN setting in St Albans. You will work with SEN educators, therapy teams and parents, gradually planning and delivering tailored lessons with on-the-job training.

The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate degree and is eager to pursue a career in SEN teaching, with a focus on developing practical classroom skills towards earning QTS.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Strong communication, patience and behavior management skills.
• Willingness to develop SEN classroom practice and work towards QTS.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, adapt and deliver sensory-aware KS1/KS2 lessons for pupils with diverse needs.
• Lead small-class instruction and manage behaviour with positive reinforcement.
• Differentiate activities for ASC, S&L needs and complex learning difficulties.
• Collaborate with SENCo, teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.
• Track pupil progress and contribute to IEPs and EHCP reviews.
